"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have
kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7 NIV).”
Determination looks like someone who doesn’t quit no
matter how difficult it gets, and no matter what the
circumstances are. Set your vision on something that
you want and know that you will achieve it. Each morning, tell
yourself what you are going to achieve. Every night, before you
go to sleep, don’t waver about your plans. True determination is
just a way of training your mind. There will always be people
who will tell you that this cannot be done and that you aren’t
capable of succeeding in something great. These people usually
tend to be ones who have tried themselves but were not able to
achieve their favorable results. Or, there’ll be people who don’t
want to try because they are too scared of failure. However,
when you don’t even try, you cannot do either– succeed or fail.
Everyone fails at times; it’s part of life. But where true
determination exists, you bounce back, fall after fall. We all
have a natural drive for something; for some, it might be sports;
for others, it might be art. Some might be motivating others,
while some might be helping people realize their true Godgiven
worth. Through this drive, we all have one common goal:
when we want to achieve something great and we want to
pursue it wholeheartedly, we pursue it with determination.
